Background: SKUS is a non-profit, non-government and non-political voluntary women-headed development organization duly registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh (Registration no-2061). SKUS has been working since 1995 to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor, marginalized and unprivileged people, and to remove discrimination and all kinds of exploitations.

Mission: To empower the poor and vulnerable people and create self-financed, self-employed and self-empowered communities with increased capabilities by providing need-based services and supports like health, sanitation, education, HIV/AIDS prevention, protection, gender, humanitarian support, social security.
