The expertise of SKUS:

SKUS has a good track record working with GOB, national and international development agencies and multilateral/bilateral donors as a development partner and services provider since 1995. Over the years since its inception, SKUS has gained much technical expertise. Expertise and experiences of SKUS are as
follows-

1. Expertise in advocacy & social mobilization in social issues like dowry, women’s rights, GBV, child rights, child protection, child labour, child marriage, eve teasing, acid throwing and various disease prevention.

2. Expertise in women’s development and empowerment, IGA training and support, and livelihood skill training on vocational and non-vocational training on tailoring & dress-making, handicrafts production, car driving, mobile repairing, electric warehousing, general caregiving and so on for unemployed women, girls, youth and adult men epically who are poor and marginalized people.

3. Expertise in emergency relief, rescue, rehabilitation, and early recovery for disaster-affected people.

4. Expertise in working with local administration & community leaders on local issues. SKUS maintain coordination & liaison with local administration & community leaders to implement VGD, maternity allowance, non-formal education program and distribute emergency relief etc projects.

5. Expertise in Research and Evaluation. SKUS is a skill & expert on strategic, survey, social mapping, PRA, Ethnographic monitoring, case study, evaluation etc. In that case, SKUS maintain the participation method.

6. Experiences in undertaking the project for mass people and expertise in Child Protection, GBV, Education, DRR and Health Projects.

7. Expertise in Rights-based programming especially for women, children, working children, street children, disabled, street-based sex workers and slum people.

8. Technical working knowledge of ethnic people: SKUS has been working among the ethnic people in Bangladesh. It is the special gain and achievement of SKUS.

9. Technical Working Expertise on Ministry and their department: SKUS directly project implementation with different ministries particularly the Ministry of Health, Education, Women and Children Affairs, Social Welfare and Ministry of Home Affairs.

10. Expertise in HIV/AID, Malaria, Avian influenza, Kala-azar and Arsenic.

11. It has expertise in organising and conducting the workshop, sensitization meetings, community mobilization meetings, seminars, training, media campaign, development IEC/BCC materials, folk song and theatre, STIs services, EPI services, MCH services and carrying out different awareness activities.

12. SKUS have good working relation with private sectors like BGMEA and garments factories.

13. Doing development work over 25 years, SKUS has achieved special consultative status from the ECOSOC and UN. SKUS also has a networking relationship with national and international arenas.

14. SKUS has good coordination and collaboration with local authority as well as has better collaboration with MOWCA, DRR and DSS.

15. SKUS has expertise and experience human resources.

16. SKUS is one of the significant members of network and working such as ROCT and CAUCUS.
