The Regional Humanitarian Partnership Week (RHPW) Asia Pacific brings together humanitarian professionals from across the region to share best practices and strengthen collaboration in humanitarian settings. Co-organised by ICVA, ADRRN, CWSA, and UNOCHA, with the theme โ€œReframing Humanitarianism for a Changing Worldโ€, this yearโ€™s event is taking place from 8 to 10 December 2025 at the Rembrandt Hotel, Bangkok.

As an International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) member, Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS), alongside NAHAB and DUS, organised a session titled โ€œNetworking for Localization and the Humanitarian Nexus.โ€ SKUS Chairperson Jesmin Prema spoke at the session, highlighting the persistent challenges faced by women-led organizations in Bangladesh. She noted that despite receiving reduced funding in 2025 compared to previous years, these organizations continue to demonstrate strong capacity across humanitarian, development, and climate-responsive programming from anticipatory action to inclusive recovery and peacebuilding.

She further emphasized their leadership in disaster-prone districts, active collaboration within national and global networks, and steadfast commitment to localization and gender responsive approaches clear evidence of their readiness and resilience. However, she stressed that limited direct funding and low ICR rates continue to undermine their long-term sustainability. SKUS Chairperson Jesmin Prema urged donor communities to acknowledge this proven capacity and make meaningful investments in women-led organizations to ensure sustained impact and leadership.

Additionally, SKUS participated in the Marketplace, where the team showcased documents, shared experiences, and exchanged learning with experts from various countries, further strengthening cross-country collaboration and mutual understanding.

As a women-led, community-rooted NGO, SKUS remains committed to advancing climate security, gender equity, and locally led humanitarian action.
