Biography:
Jesmin Prema has been a successful entrepreneur and founding chairman of the Social Welfare and Development Organization (SKUS) since 1996, working successfully with a commitment to change society and people.
She was born in 1972 in Dhaka. She received his M.A. from Dhaka University. From an early age, he was involved in various social and cultural organizations. While studying at the university, she was regularly involved in various developmental works besides writing in newspapers. From a very young age, she had a strong desire to work for social change.
She thought about how to develop people, change socio-economic conditions, establish the rights of deprived women and children, etc. That childhood thought inspired her to become the current head of SKUS, a development Organization. As well as being the chairman of ‘SKUS’, she has been serving with honor in various organizations.
Under her tireless work and skillful leadership, SKUS is currently conducting Literacy and Continuing Education for Human Development Education and Life Skills Project for Adolescents, Education and Livelihood Skills Training Program for Working Children in the City, Malaria Control Project , HIV / AIDS Prevention, Awareness and Risk Reduction Activities among Factory Workers, Drug Addicts, Sex Workers, Women for the Development and Self-Reliance Project, The Safe Water and Sanitation Project, Maternity Rental Project, Maternity Rent Project, Rehabilitation projects, housing projects aimed at ensuring housing problems for poor families, EPIs, nutrition, anti-smoking and anti-tobacco activities, maternal health awareness and problem-solving strategies for recipients and post-married women And Small Farm Rehabilitation Projects, Fisheries, Livestock, Social Forestry, Climate Change As a result, SKUS has been implementing alternative projects to protect the coastal and haor areas from adverse effects.
In recognition of her tireless work and activities, SKUS received the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Gi Special Consultative Status in 2010.
